Estragón y Vladimir esperan a la sombra de un árbol plantado a mitad de un camino, a alguien llamado Godot. A través de reflexiones, recuerdos y juegos animan la espera. Llegan Pozzo y Lucky, quienes se sumarán al entretenimiento. ¿El tiempo ha pasado? No lo saben. “Vuelta empezar”.
Llega el muchacho mensajero de Godot quien trae noticias. Todo empieza nuevamente y “mañana todo irá mejor”. Es un nuevo día y los cinco personajes, en el mismo lugar, se preguntan si estuvieron ahí, si hay esperanza o no. Están y se necesitan. El mirarse les asegura que están vivos y que mañana volverán porque Godot sí llegará.
